South Florida Elite Baseball

Established in 1999 With the help of Jeff Kiel, Sue Reamer, Eileen Parsons and Gay Roberts, the South Florida Elite have competed in local, state and national tournaments, providing countless memories in America's favorite pasttime. Discipline, integrity, honor and loyalty were the principles incorporated through the Elite players and parents of past, and remain the Elite trademark. In 2004, in the first graduating class of players, Elite alumnus Ricky Feliz became a Junior College All Conference and All-Region Player and an All American candidate. Ricky was the first and only player to have his number retired as a player for the Elite. Ricky currently attends Frank Phillips College in Borger, Texas. Elite newcomer Kevin Martinez from Miami Dade College was selected to 2nd Team All Conference and Robert Palencia (also Miami Dade College) was a draft pick of the Cincinnati Reds.

In 2005 many more former Elite players will graduate and continue to play at the college level, with two commitments to Division 1 schools and several commitments to Junior College, Division 2, and NAIA schools.

Currently the Elite are competing at the 11-and-under age bracket with many promising young athletes ready to follow in the footsteps of those before them. During the fall of 2005, the 18-and-under Elite will compete in showcase tournaments providing opportunities to demonstrate their talent to college scouts.
